Shakespeare Teen brings the festival closer to teenagers through a series of participatory projects for middle and high school students, where Shakespeare becomes the perfect pretext for creativity and expression in contemporary forms. The focal point of the section is a multimedia visual art installation, placed throughout the festival in Piața „Mihai Viteazul” and built by over 1,000 students.
Teenagers contribute through models made in 34 schools in Dolj county, with the theme „The Dream Garden”, and through video clips produced by 18 high schools in Craiova and Cetate, with the theme „Emotion of a Summer Night”, in an endeavor that transforms public space into a stage of imagination, inspired by the play „A Midsummer Night's Dream” by William Shakespeare.
Developed over many months, through workshops, mentoring sessions and collaborations with teachers, students and artists, the project transforms the educational experience into a collective creation process. Shakespeare Teen thus becomes the place where young people are an active part of the festival's energy – a generation discovering its own voice through Shakespeare!
În plus, secțiunea dedicată tinerilor creatori reunește 11 spectacole realizate de 10 trupe de teatru de liceu din întreaga țară, configurând o platformă națională de afirmare artistică pentru noua generație.
